The Ocmulgee Regional Library System emphasizes
Genealogy and Local History research at all six of our
locations. Each library in the region houses various
genealogy resources, including books, pamphlets, and
selected U.S. Census records. Microfilms are housed at ORLS Headquarters in Eastman. Microform reading machines are available in Eastman also.

Please consult the GALILEO website at the local library to access Ancestry PLUS. Access to this expanded version of Ancestry.com is available only at the library and includes Census data and much useful data for Genealogical research.

Each of the six locations provides a computer dedicated to genealogy research. These computers provide Internet access to assist patrons in pursuing their family studies. Federal funding through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) purchased these valuable tools.
