Through GALILEO, Georgia citizens have access to authoritative, subscription-only information that isn't available through free search engines or Web directories. GALILEO stands for GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online, an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.

A World Wide Web-based virtual library, GALILEO provides access to multiple information resources, including secured access to licensed products. Participating institutions may access over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 2000 journal titles are provided in full-text. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and government publications. ProQuest, Encyclopedia Brittanica, EBSCOHost, the Digital Library of Georgia, and NetLibrary are just a few of many informative databases that can be used when researching to complete scholarly work.

Access to GALILEO is available at any public library or at your residence if you have an Internet connection and if you are a patron of the library. If you are interested in accessing GALILEO from home, please ask a library staff member for the details as to how to access GALILEO from the convenience of your home.
