The Ocmulgee Regional Library System and the Dodge County Library has partnered with the Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Arts Council, Inc. to present the program"Dodge County History, the Arts, and Technology" from March, 2003 until June 30, 2003.

Young artists will work with adults (both young and senior citizens) to produce line drawings and pen-and-ink sketches of people, buildings and other historical items representing the history of Dodge County, Georgia. Please view the history photograph page, which is continually growing.

The project proposes to create an "online coloring book" of this material that will be available on the Library System's website. These drawings can be printed by students who want to color the items, while learning the history and heritage of their Dodge County area. The coloring book will be posted on this website in late April, 2003.

To participate in the project, please contact the Library by email or telephone us at (478) 374-4711 in Eastman. Ms. Myrtle Liggin and Ms. Sandra Harrison, local artists and educators, are working with students to produce the sketches.

"This program is supported in part by the Grassroots Arts Program of the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriation of the General Assembly and in Partnership with Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Arts Council, Inc."
